Explain, reconstruct, and evaluate the two arguments for Mind-Body Identity Theory as discussed by Sober, and the way the arguments are formally presented by me in the Canvas document. Make sure you present each argument separately and reconstruct the premises. Also, make sure you present the criticisms discussed in class against each argument. In addition, discuss the major assumption by the theory: that there cannot be any difference between two things without it being a physical difference. Finally, evaluate the criticisms: Are the criticisms conclusive against Mind-Body Identity Theory, or can the proponents of this theory offer a rejoinder to one or both criticisms?
