Each student will develop a personal prescriptive approach, in the form of a mission statement, to decide what’s right, particularly in a business context. This is not a paper about your personal career choice, but rather what type of ethics you would use. You may refer to the approaches offered in the texts, but don’t rely on them exclusively.
Develop an approach that feels really right for you — one that you think you intend to actually rely upon in the future. Take into account your own values, especially biblical principles. You may want to discuss this with your pastor or other spiritual leader. Explain the approach in some detail and depth. Use examples. Show how the approach would help you make tough choices between conflicting values and/or how it might help you decide what kind of work to do or what kind of organization to work for. Then apply your approach in a specific ethical dilemma you have faced (not any that you have discussed in other assignments for this course).
Your paper should be no less than 2 pages in length and the APA format must be used. Use references and cite them correctly in the text. Bible verses expected.
