You will design a patient education tool that can be used by
nurses for teaching patients using
computer applications. You will then present your tool to the class and
explain the purpose, how you created it, reasoning for your choice of
applications, and provide current evidence of the effectiveness of this patient
education. This presentation is 5-10 minutes.
n the Tool drop-box for the Project Tool. You need to submit a
viewable file of your tool. Your tool should be something you design. In other
words something you create. The
assignment instructions ask you to design
a patient education tool that can be used by nurses for teaching
patients using
computer applications.

Be sure you are designing your own tool not using an existing
tool. Using a tool designed by someone else leads towards a potential of
product, copyright, or patent infringement. If you have question about
how to use computer applications to create/design a tool please email me and I
can assist. This tool should NOT be a pamphlet, paper handout, brochure or
PowerPoint Slides but need to use computer applications and be practical enough
for nurses to use with patient education.
In the drop-box for the Presentation you will need to upload the
slides for your in-class presentation you will prepare for a PowerPoint
presentation in class that will guide you through presenting tool design
to the class and explain the purpose, how you created it, reasoning for your
choice of applications, and provide current evidence of the effectiveness of
this patient education. This presentation is 5-10 minutes. Please include
a introduction slide and your references. Your references that guided
your reasoning for choice of applications and those which provided you current
evidence of this patient education is what you will include in your reference
list. Be sure to include appropriate in-text citations to validate your
positions, arguments and evidence.
