For your essay, first have an introduction with a thesis statement creating an argument about the theme and message of the story. Explain which literary elements are used to develop that theme and convey the author’s message.
Second, briefly summarize the story you have chosen. NO MORE THAN 1 PARAGRAPH
Then, discuss the themes of the story.
Next, choose 3 literary elements and analyze how the author uses them in the story to develop the themes.
Finally, in your conclusion, give your personal response and reaction (whether you liked it or disliked it and why).
Your story be properly cited in MLA format
Your paper is to be based only on the story. We are not doing research or including research in this paper. If you plagiarize in ANY way, I will mark points off and you may fail the assignment.
