You can pick any subtopic in the chapter under evidence collection. Explain why that part of the evidence collection is so important in helping solve a case.

The readings for Week 9 are Chapters 15 – Homosexual Homicides, 17 – Collection of Evidence, and 18 – The Autopsy. To complete the discussion for this week, you can choose a topic from Chapter 15, 17, or 18. For reply posts, help each other out and reply to at least two other students’ posts. Focus on if the student you are replying to missed anything or could possibly do something better with analyzing the investigation technique of the topic they chose.
Post by Wednesday July 28: List what you believe are two very important investigations techniques from the topic you chose from the textbook readings this week (Chapters 15 – Homosexual Homicides, 17 – Collection of Evidence, and 18 – The Autopsy). Some investigative techniques would include: victimology, evidence collection, importance of autopsy report, crime scene management, and of course any investigative technique that we learned throughout the course. Describe why you believe the two investigative techniques are so important – your perspective. Also, explain how you would execute that investigation technique during your investigation.
An example would be: you chose a victimology report as an investigative technique for a homosexual homicide, as your topic (from Chapter 15). Describe why a victimology report for a homosexual homicide is so important. Also, how would you execute the victimology report for a homosexual homicide – how you would compile a victimology report for a homosexual homicide – what pieces of information would you try to obtain? What pieces of evidence would be important or vital to the victimology report?
