Explain why the North won the Civil War. Look
at the technologies of war, the relative advantages and disadvantages of both
sides, some of the more important battles (Hint 1: if it is the multiple choice
list it is probably important, though there may be others), the commanders on
both sides. Also explain whether or not you think the North’s victory was a
forgone conclusion. (Hint 2: If you think it was you probably need to explain
why so many southern soldiers continued to fight and die for a lost cause).
