Explain why the rhyme scheme, and the break in the rhyme scheme? Why words such as ‘bubble-less’?
Most of the imagery in the poem are rather predictable. Would there be striking images that you can compare the pandemic situation to? For example, last year, one of my students compared our masked interactions like two fencers trying to keep their distance, which is an interesting image that held a lot of potential. You could improve the poem but including unexpected images and wordplay.
– Think about metaphors, similes, structure, sound devices, etc.
