Assignment Content

For your final essay, write a critical analysis of at least 1000 words.

Remember an analysis is NOT a summary or report and is more than a general discussion of a text. It does not simply tell what a text does; instead it focuses on how and how well a text achieves its effect or purpose. An analysis is an examination of a text. It requires a specific point of discussion, a thesis statement that explains how some aspect of the text functions, expresses a context for reading and understanding the text, or evaluates the effectiveness of a text.

Your analysis may be an extension one of your response essays or a new analysis. It may focus on any one or more (no more than 3) texts we read this semester. Be sure to express a specific thesis statement and develop relevant and sufficient evidence and support presented in well-organized and detailed paragraphs.

Your analysis must be at least 1000 words, double-spaced in Times New Roman (12) or Calibri (11). Be sure to FOLLOW THE MANUSCRIPT FORMAT. Your response essay document should have a proper heading including all the appropriate information, including the word count of your analysis.
