Web-Based Activity – Exploring Medical Staff Bylaws
The purpose of this assignment is to introduce students to medical staff bylaws
and principles of data management.
Instructions: Conduct an Internet search and find examples of physician or hospital
bylaws and compose a paper discussing its documentation requirements and how that
applies to good data management principles. Identify documentation requirements for
different services from your selected bylaw example.
Discuss in your concluding paragraph why an HIM Professional would need to
understand the concepts of data management.
