Summarize article and write a Reflection essay
Write a brief summary and reflection of the article (500 words).
A summary is a concise paraphrase of all the main ideas in an essay or article.
Following the summary of the article write a reflection on the article. After your reflection – write two open ended questions you have about the article that can prompt a discussion about the issue.
Writing an Article Reflection:
For the most part, a reflection paper records thoughts, reactions, feelings and analysis of an experience in a more personal way than in a formal research/analytical essay.When writing an article reflection, the point is to include your thoughts and reactions to the reading or experience. You can present your feelings on what you read and explain them.You also can use a reflection paper to analyze what you have read.
Like any other piece of writing, it should be well-written.
It should also refer directly to the specific passage or quote in the material that inspired this feeling.
You can include personal experience in a reflection paper, but base your reactions and reflections on the material in the article or reading you have selected.
Have a clear point of focus, don’t get caught up in mere rambling . Also, an article reflection should not be a free flow of ideas and thoughts.
The idea of an article reflection is to write a piece describing your reactions and analysis to a reading or other experience; however, it is more formal than a journal entry, so use a mix of formal and informal language.
Organize Your Thoughts
Your article reflection should be as organized as any other type of formal piece of writing.
In the introduction, describe your expectations before the reading.
The body of your article reflection should explain the conclusions you have come to and why
You also may want to summarize the conclusions you came to during the reading and reflection process. End the paper with a conclusion that sums up what you got from the reading
Base your conclusions in real details you find in your reading.
You might want to refer to your conclusions in relation to your expectations, or Come to some other conclusion or analysis (feelings and reactions) about the article that you did not consider before reading.
