2-A: We have learned that the ‘crisis moment’ in a plot is the moment when the story changes, the main character is forced to make a difficult choice (discovery and decision: see Ch. 6: Story), and that choice changes things for the main character. What do you think is the ‘crisis moment’ of “Apollo”? When does the story change for the narrator, and how does he change in this moment?
2-B: State what you think may be the theme of “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings”? We know what happens in the story, but what do you think it means? What is Marquez’s point with this story?
