The candidate will reflect on their practicum experience and submit reflections in a (Final Reflection Journal) format based on their
practicum experiences as outlined by the Program and Student Learning Outcomes, Course Objectives, and TILS/PSEL Standards.
The examples should reflect working in an elementary school (K-5th grade)
1. Cite an example in your internship experience where you’ve demonstrated your knowledge and understanding of moral and ethical
factors in schooling. Include examples demonstrating that you can translate educational theory into practice.
2. Cite an example in your internship experience demonstrating you understand and know how to evaluate the administrative process as it is conducted in the school setting.
3. Cite an example in your internship experience demonstrating that you’ve gained knowledge of various models of educational theory
and been exposed to the foundations that pertain to the field of educational administration.
4. Cite an example in your internship experience where you’ve demonstrated an understanding of current educational best practices and demonstrate knowledge of how to communicate a vision for a local school.
5. Cite an example in your internship experience demonstrating that you’ve acquired knowledge of administration as a profession,
including its responsibilities, structure, and activities.
6. Cite an example in your internship experience demonstrating that you can formulate goals with individuals and groups and to articulate high expectations for faculty, candidates, staff, and parents.
7. Cite an example in your internship experience demonstrating that you can access the impact of technological and societal changes on
schools.
8. Cite examples in your internship experience demonstrating that you’ve gained a variety of opportunities to spend time observing and
participating in and engaging in diverse settings and administrative activities/tasks.
9. Cite an example in your internship experience where you’ve provided feedback to your instructor and the class regarding the practicum experience.
10. Cite examples demonstrating that you’ve been exposed to various styles of leadership in a school setting while demonstrating that
you’ve also examined TISL Standards in a school setting.
