Finding Supportive Research

Before the Assignment:
To thoroughly understand a research topic/question, researchers conduct literature reviews (peer reviewed journal articles) to become informed on what areas of the topic have been studied and the findings and outcomes of each study. In your final project you conduct a literature review that discusses the information you found regarding the research topic/question of interest. Researchers begin with a library search on the topic and find articles that illuminate their knowledge in the research area of interest. To keep the information from the research articles organized and easily accessible, researchers create an annotated bibliography, which is the focus of your assignment this week.
Review the assigned chapters in the textbook- Shaughnessy, J. J., Zechmeister, E. B., & Zechmeister, J. S. (2015). Research Methods in Psychology (10th Ed.). McGraw-Hill Education.

Ch. 9 – Single-Case Research Designs
Ch. 10 – Quasi-Experimental Designs and Program Evaluations
Use PsychInfo and PsychArticles (7)SEVEN peer-reviewed research articles based on your chosen topic. Note: you may not use the previous articles gathered from last weeks assignment on diversity–you will, however, be able to use these articles for your summative project. You will also use these new articles to provide the background information about your topic in the literature review section of the final research proposal, along with the articles on diversity.
Only use articles that are peer reviewed and were published within the last 10 years.

Assignment:

articles that are based on at least one of the constructs of Bandura, Ross, and Rosss (1961) original study – namely social modeling, imitative learning, and aggressive behavior- and have been conducted with diversity as a part of the methodology. For example, cultural diversity can include, but is not limited to: ethnicity, gender, disabilities or differing ability levels, socioeconomic status, geographical location, or age.
Writing an annotated bibliography for this assignment. Instructions for an Annotated Bibliography are as follows:
Under each reference, write a short paragraph (3-5 sentences), explain the findings of the study and its relevance to your topic.
There is no page requirement; simply ensure that you meet the criteria above for SEVEN peer-reviewed journal articles.
Please review the example annotated bibliography for formatting at the Sonoma State University website in this weeks required multimedia. Keep in mind that scientific writing is literal; thus, if the study happened in the past (which they all have), then it is appropriate to describe it as if it happened in the past.
