This project is a culmination of the research you have done over the first two weeks of our class, and it is worth significantly more points than any of the other assignments thus far, so consider both carefully. Whichever option you choose, you will need to answer the following question:
Is it important to analyze news about abortion rather than just read it, and why?
Your answer to the question should serve as your argumentative thesis statement, and the rest of the project should be used to prove your point.
Option 1: Five-Paragraph Op-Ed
You have now read and analyzed at least two op-eds; now write one. This will not actually be published in a newspaper, but one can dream. Your written op-ed should be no more than five paragraphs, so you will need to be concise.
