Request for Consideration – A formal statement requesting consideration into the nursing major. This must be separate from the personal statement.
Personal Statement – A typed, signed essay that addresses the following points about the applicant:
Why they deserves special consideration
Why their qualifications do not meet the minimum criteria
Why a career in nursing is a life goal for them
**Side Note: I had to retake some of the nursing core classes because they’re over 10 yrs old. I retook anatomy 1&2 and Microbiology and got an A in all classes. Majority of the schools recommend that the science classes are taken within 5 years, which is why I retook them. As for the other classes that are just at the 10 year mark, I joined the military and couldn’t pursue the nursing as a career. I am a female, just incase you may want to add it in question 1 or 2 (If Needed), but id you have any questions, please message me so that both statements look good.
