FOUNDATION EXPERIENCE

I go to a learning school for Tech. The classes are 10 days on (learning) instructor led and then 10 days off (used to study). I studied rigorously for 20 days straight for at least an hour and a half per day. Not only did i use instructor notes but also the ‘ITIL FOUNDATION ITIL 4 EDITION’ app that my instution provided us. The app is based is broken into two parts, ‘study’ and practice’ study is for note cards and learning, practice breaks itil into 7 sections and youre able to test on the subject (20 questions per unit) it provides you with a score at the end. I took 23 exams which i scored a average of 91% on and 4 mock exams (all ITIL material into oneexam, 40 questions) which i averaged a 95% on. I was extremely confident going into the exam, so confident that i didnt feel the needto purchase the ‘Take 2 Retake’ for $89.00 from peoplecert. During the exam everything was worded completely different and nothingsimilar to what I had spent amples amounts of time studying. Taking the exam and reviewing my answers I was more than confident inmy answers only to find out i scored a 21.00/40.00….i failed the exam. I was really confused becuase i studied really hard and was more than confident. Also, my school gave me a voucher for the ITIL exam and peoplecert offers a retake for a fraction of the cost. i recommend everyone taking the exam purchase the retake because i now have to come out of pocket 350 dollars. i also noticed that the format of the exam is completely differnt and worded completely different than the studied sections.
