Friendship and Peer Acceptance

For this assignment the only sources that you will be needing are videos on children focusing on freidnships and peers. You will need to make OBSERVATIONS FROM THE VIDEOS.
A formal write up takes the key terms from the reading and summary of each topic, lookfor examples in the video reservior. Please note the video name, state the term the behavior is an example of, UNDERLINE OR BOLD SAID TERM and then describe the exampleof the behavior that matched the term. Please DO NOT reiterate the text about the topicJust include terms and examples of behvaior. The expectation is that for most topics you will have 1-1.5 pages of observations and if you run out of observations you can talk about the topic.

In terms of peers, we will be covering two sub-topics: Friendship and Peer acceptance. The book will explain the notion of friendship as a handy playmate, as compared to friendhsip based on trust. During early childhood, children usually base friendship on people playing nicely with them and sharinf. By contrast, during middle childhood they start to use trust as a basis for friendship.
Turning to peer acceptance, the book reading will introduce you to the primary categories pf accepted, rejected, neglected and controversial children, as well as the sub-categories of popular pro-social, popular anti-social, rejected aggressive and rejected withdrawn. I want you to pay special attention to making sure you can distinguish between a rejected withdrawn child and a neglected one. What exactly is the difference? Notice that rejected aggresiive children are often those who become bullies and rejected withdrawnchildren those who become the victims of bullying.
