Research Paper
a) The research paper assignment is an article review. The basic concept is to pick a medical
topic that interest you or that you want to learn more about. Come up with a thesis
statement. For example, “What do you think you will find” then use your reference to
prove or disprove your thesis. When you are writing your paper your target audience
should be your fellow IDC’s and your medical officer. Think about how what you’re
presenting applies to your daily practice, deployment medicine or the health of your
crew.
b) The student may select a topic. All topics will be approved by LCDR Babakhani.
Student that have not selected a topic by the 4th week of clinical rotations will have a
topic assigned by LCDR Babakhani.
c) 5-7 pages in length, Times New Roman, 12 font, double spaced not more than 30%
pictures/graphs.
d) Minimum 3 reference.
