Many of the products purchased are produced outside of the United States. However, the future of
global trade is uncertain due to complica$ons in the supply chain.
The Internet has expanded the marketplace, in which a lot of companies do business, to include
customers around the globe. Therefore, it is important to understand our interna$onal business
partners.
Email your chosen county (must have country approved) and if not already taken, start your research.
Instruc$ons:
1. Select a country from the list below. Once you choose it, it’s yours! This project may be
completed with a partner or individually.
I chose Costa Rica
2. Collect informa$on relevant to your country for use in your report and presenta$on. Make sure
you document your sources in order to properly cite (intext and end notes) using APA style. In brief,
your report will outline the challenges and opportuni$es of conduc$ng business in that country and
provide relevant guidelines and recommenda$ons for entering the market.
Your informa$on must include in this order using subtles for each of the following:
Geographic locaon
Primary language
Main currency
Major imports and exports (Sources no older than 2 years from date of report)
Does county have a comparave or absolute advantage with exports (Sources no older than 2 years
from date of report)
Miscellaneous DOs and DON’Ts for conduc$ng business and explana$on
All forces a”ecng trade in global markets (see text)
Balance of trade and balance of payments (Source from Current year only)
Analyze the polical, economic, legal-regulatory, physical & environmental and cultural
environment forces of the country
What is best strategy for reaching this market?
Be sure you have explained each topic completely and in order. Your report must demonstrate an
understanding of the key concepts discussed in the text. Must explain each topic from text followed
by your research.

3. The report will be upload to Connect. Addi$onally, prepare a professional but crea$ve
presenta$on about the country you have chosen and upload presentaon to Global Moodle forum.
Remember the following when preparing to presenta$on:
Use fonts, colors, and other design elements that add visual appeal
Include interes$ng graphics to support your informa$on
Enhance presenta$on slides with appropriate anima$on and transi$ons
Cite sources: your sources, APA Style, of informa$on must be clearly referenced. The assignments
must be based on research, using online and global databases from the BCC library and demonstrate
your understanding of the readings and class discussions. Your bibliography must include at least 8
published/referenced sources.
