HUSB 225 Guided Project Requirements
This guided project will focus on the case study of Janelle. For the semester, you will develop a model and process for the effective implementation of case management services based on your interpretation of Janelle’s Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) results.
Remember, all assignments must be submitted in APA format with a cover page and reference page.
Due Sunday of the identified week.
Phase 1: Overview of Guided Project
After reading the first part of Janelle’s case study, take the ACEs test as if you were completing it for Janelle. You will read the first part of Janelle’s case study in phase one, and continue to learn more about her case study in various weeks throughout the semester.
Janelle’s Case Study: Janelle is a veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan and has returned to civilian life. She is currently unemployed, although she has a degree in computer programming and strategic technology; she is a widowed mother with two children, both with diagnosed learning disabilities; she is living with her mother-in-law. She is suffering from PTSD and an addiction to opioids related to a wartime injury to her back. As a teenager, Janelle entered the foster care system due to her parent’s struggles with substance abuse and domestic violence. She exited the foster care system and entered the military at 18.
For this first phase, discuss in general terms the results from Janelle’s ACEs quiz.
The project plan should focus on areas that could benefit from case management. The description included should be incorporated in all phases of the guided project.
This should be no more than one page.
