The planning phase of safety management system (SMS) development is well in progress, and it is now time to develop some goals for your SMS. Based upon your workplace (or your research on a workplace), organize a hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA) report that identifies at least five workplace hazards and determines associated risk.
Considering the information gathered in the HIRA report and the prioritized risks, identify three specific objectives for your SMS to achieve. Develop a proposed dashboard of key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be used to track the attainment of these objectives. Include a description of what data will be provided and by whom for inclusion in the dashboard.
