Health, Safety and Nutrition Module 4 Hand Washing and Diapering

MODULE 4 Hello Students, here are your instructions for this Module:
1) View the Power Point Presentation – Childhood Illnesses: Identification and Management
2) Complete the Discussion Forum: Use slide #12 from the Power Point and answer the questions. Respond to the Instructor first and then to two classmates’ responses. Remember to use the Classmate’s name you are responding to and be specific and detailed.
3) View Video: Proper Hand-washing Techniques
4) View Video: Proper Diapering Techniques
5) Locate the website for the Department of Early Care and Learning: Bright from the Start. (www.http://decal.ga.gov). Go to: Forms – GA Decal Bright from the Start; Choose Child Care Learning Center tab at the top; Scroll down to CENTER; Choose the visuals: You are to submit the visuals.
Copy and/or print the following:
a. Staff Hand-washing Rules
b. Children’s Hand-washing Rules
c. Diapering Handout
Once you have these pages downloaded/ copied, place them into the Drop Box for grading.
6) Prepare the Illness and Conditions Report. The instructions for this are contained on the template itself. OR copy the charts Common Communicable Childhood Illnesses found in your textbook (several pages) and submit them in the Drop Box.
