Scholarly Writing Paper
The student will write a scholarly paper on any topic as it relates to healthcare education,
administration, or healthcare best practices. The paper should give a general overview of the
topic, support the significance of that topic, and be a researchable topic. Also, include why there
is a need for research with that topic.
1. A minimum of two scholarly article references are required to support your paper.
2. A title and reference page are also required
3. Inclusion of an abstract is not required
4.The Scholarly Writing Paper should be a min. 1.5 pages and max 2 pages
5. As with all scholarly papers and writing assignments, a strong introduction and
conclusion are required.
6. No more than 2 direct quotes should be included (summarize reference material)
7. Include the article used for the annotated bibliography (PDF)
8. Include your final Grammarly report with your submission (PDF).
9.The instructor will use the WCU Writing Rubric to evaluate this assignment.
10.The scholarly writing assignment accounts for 25% of the overall course grade.
