b. Refer to CH. 38 on The Point, the textbook companion website, for guidelines on reading dental literature, procedure for searching the Internet, and Periodontal resources on the Internet
3. Your paper will be 6-8 pages in length, including references, typed and double-spaced.
4. When writing your paper, use this format:
a. Introduction: include a topic sentence and thesis statement.
b. Review of Literature: this section will probably be the largest section of your paper. Please include a summary of all the major sources you have discovered as you research this topic.
c. Discussion: provide a clear examination of the current research about your topic from the literature you reviewed and from any personal observations you have been able to complete in this area.
d. Conclusion: include a summary of your findings and any recommendations or suggestions you may have for future research or treatment for the topic you have reviewed.
e. Reference sources: Cite a minimum of five (5) sources (in addition to the text) related to your topic. Journal articles must be from peer-reviewed journals. Be careful to use only scientific-evidence based sources! Provide an APA reference page citing these sources as well as in-text citations.
