Your paper will be
evaluated on the following characteristics:

Clear statement of a
thesis.
2.
Use of critical
thinking – i.e. do you look at ideas and events analytically &
critically instead of just reporting what you read?
3.
Accuracy of factual
content.
4.
Understanding of
mathematical ideas that are discussed
5.
Defense of the thesis
with evidence, placing mathematics in historical and cultural context: that is,
events, beliefs and values that influenced the ideas/people in your research.
6.
High quality sources,
appropriately cited in text notes and the source list.
7.
Clear, correct writing
and organization. Grammar, punctuation, and spelling do count.
