What would have been your choice in the Hobbes dilemma ‘game’, and why would that be the’ smart’ choice, in terms of your self-interest?
You must first confirm if you would have played or not played.
If you were playing, then you also need to say if you were cooperating or defecting.
Then you need to explain why your choice would be the one that best serves your self-interest.

2. I would Play and Cooperate.
It makes sense to trust others to cooperate because…
3. I would Play and Defect.
It makes sense to play and defect because…
I have stopped offering this as a real game to my online students because it turned into a slaughterhouse. During the pandemic about 30 of my online students failed the class because they chose to play and others defected. For some reason, when it is online, people don’t think it is real, and they get very upset when they end up failing the class. My answer is “Tough s***” To save you from that, I am making this a thought experiment, rather than an actual gamble.
