For this blog, you will explore horror and science fiction working together — these two genres are closely related in that both show the human condition ‘on steroids’ — the human condition of fear, so to speak, but when combined, the dark side of humanity is faced head-on, and the result has fascinated readers and film fanatics for decades.
To participate effectively on this blog, you need to complete the following readings/viewings:

Read the text: “The Genre of Horror” (under The Genre of Horror folder)

Your Initial: Reference, at least, one example from each of the bulleted requirements listed above to discuss the connection that you see between science fiction and horror. To clarify, your posting must reflect your understanding of the bulleted requirements. Use details — how does the zombie apocalypse factor in the the sf and horror genres. Illustrate using examples from the short stories! — Also, how does American horror use both genres in their films?
