How Attachment styles Impact children

All humans have the ability to form relationships based
on their childhood experiences. A child’s first bond once out of the womb is
the relationship between that child and their caregiver. The bond between a
child and a parent can influence a child’s future development, behavior and how
they form personal relationships. Attachment styles can be characterized by different
ways of interacting and behaving in relationship. Throughout early childhood
these attachment styles are centered on a parent and a child interaction. There
are four different attachment styles secure, anxious-ambivalent, anxious avoidant
and disorganized style. The most
important tenet is that young children need to develop a relationship with one
primary caregiver for normal social and emotional development.
