For your final paper, each student will write a 3-pages paper about the global protest case presented in class*. In your paper, provide a brief description of events and main actors, explain the target, dynamics and actions of protestors, and police reaction to the protest group. Also, answer the following questions:
To what extent were the protestors successful? Include the bystander and public reactions.
Was this a peaceful or violent protest? Did police use force against the protestors? If so, mention the crowd control tactics used? How and what type of equipment was used? If there were arrests, why do you think police arrested the protestors?
Which paradigms of protest policing (crowd control, crowd management, and mutual respect) was used to control the protestors?
Could the protest have been handled better by the police? If yes,
explain how?

Does any of the news stories call protestors in your case as
terrorists, or anarchist; or any reporters scapegoated protestors?
Compare and contrast this protest with another global protest. Do you
see any similarities or differences in police response to protestors?
How do you think the trust between crowds and law enforcement be
built in this protest?
Do you believe that the dynamics of this protest still exist? Do you
expect a similar protest in the future?
