How do the letters and the advice given in these columns illustrate and give concrete examples of the issues that are discussed in our more academic readings?

Pick THREE different online parenting advice columns, and read at least 10 entries for each one (ie, ten different letters from someone asking for advice and the columnist’s responses—so 30 total). See what patterns you can find in the kinds of things people are writing in about and in the kinds of answers the columnists give—what kinds of issues tend to come up repeatedly, and (more importantly) WHY? Write a 3-4 page paper discussing these patterns AND how the issues the questioners are facing are connected to the material in the textbook and to the other readings/videos we’ve used. How do the letters and the advice given in these columns illustrate and give concrete examples of the issues that are discussed in our more academic readings? Be sure to use brief direct quotes from all three of the columns and from our class readings to illustrate your main points (remember the guidelines for ASA format in the instructions for the first paper). Your works cited page (also ASA style) should list the titles of all the entries you read for the paper.
