Diversity Presentation: It is important to display culture competence and culture sensitivity in
the working world and your everyday life. The best way to do this is to learn about different
cultures and their customs so that you can gain cultural understanding.

You are to research a country of your choosing. Find a visual aid (picture of the country’s flag,
picture of the country, etc.) related to this culture. Research this topic using NC Live and other
library resources. You must have 3 different CREDIBLE sources. Wikipedia is not a credible
source.
You must include a Works Cited page citing the resources according to MLA format. Find out
about this culture and their business customs. Your presentation will contain the following:

• Appropriate dress for females and males
• Climate
• Population
• How do they feel about punctuality?
• What should you bring if you are invited as a guest to dinner?
• Do they exchange business cards?
• Do they have any major imports/exports?
• How should you dress for a business meeting?
• What are some interesting holidays, customs, festivals, etc.?
• What are the dining customs?
• Where is the country located?
• How do they greet one another?
• Is this culture Individualistic or Collectivist? • Is this culture masculine or feminine?
• Does this culture have a high or low power distance?
• Is this a high or low context culture?
• Does this culture have a monochromic or polychromic time orientation?
