The topic choice is up to the student but should encompass at least one of the major topics that will be discussed during the weeks surrounding the paper. Papers will be due on the dates specified in the calendar below. The papers should be 5 pages in length, and should include at minimum, five (5) scholarly references (peer-reviewed journal articles ONLY) that demonstrate a further grasp or understanding of the materials than what is covered in class. Because you will be writing two of these papers throughout the term, you may want to look at the topics that are scheduled ahead of time so that you can pick out a topic you are interested in. When papers are submitted, they should be turned in on time, with name, date, and assignment name on the first page (no need for a cover sheet), times new roman size 12, double spaced, numbered pages, and a reference list at the end.
