How is The 39 Steps an example of the “mono-myth” or “hero’s journey”? (Barsam and Monahan 24). Luke Skywalker in Star Wars is a good example of this type of protagonist. Harry Potter, Frodo Baggins in Lord of the Rings, and numerous Disney characters can serve as examples of such heroes. In other words, how does Hitchcock use the camera frame his protagonist in order for an audience to recognize the protagonist as this type of hero?
