Literature Review: The literature review for the research proposal is intended to be a full review of the current literature on your topic. Students must find AND use at least 10 peer-reviewed research articles in PsycInfo that is related to the topic. Students will read the articles thoroughly and use the information provided in these articles to compile a detailed and in-depth literature review. All articles must come from PsyInfo. No internet sources are accepted unless they are from government sources (e.g., CDC, U.S. Census). Make sure you maintain a list of ALL sources used in your manuscript. Sources must be cited in the text when used and also on the reference page. Do not directly quote any of the articles you have reviewed. The repeated use of direct quotes demonstrates unacceptable writing and will not be accepted. Additionally, the use of direct quotes is NOT in accordance with APA format. In this section, you must clearly indicate your topic and proposed hypothesis. Make sure your hypothesis is in agreement with previous research.
Method: The method section of a manuscript first explains the participants you intend to use in your study. The method section also explains how you will collect your data and what you will do with your participants.
Proposed Analysis: This is the section of your paper that would become the results section if you completed the actual study. Here you describe the analyses you would conduct on the data collected in order to answer your hypothesis.
