We have been reading/discussing the American Dream of each of the characters in The Great Gatsby. Each character had their own dream; some achieved it, and some did not.
Your project will be to create a guide on how the American Dream was achieved during your chosen decade. You can choose the 1940’s or later.

What was the American Dream for each of these three groups (urban environment, a rural environment, and minority/immigrant group) AND how was it achieved.

Medical/technological advances
Significant historical/natural events
Material items that defined the decade
Who epitomizes the American dream in your decade for music, sports, movies, and entertainment.

Civil rights and laws
Opportunities for social mobility

This project is to be in your own words. You will be consulting sources, so proper citations in MLA format are necessary. Your project must include a Works Cited page in MLA format. Organization, grammar, and spelling will affect your grade.
You may choose one of the following options for the format of your project:

Do not zip or compress any files. Do not use Microsoft Publisher. All projects must be sent in PC format. I cannot open any non converted documents created with a Mac computer.
