How will an MS in nursing assist you in attaining your career and educational goals? Why did you select UIC? Please comment on past experiences that have influenced your decision to pursue graduate nursing studies.
An MS is a masters in nursing. The program I am appying to is an acclerated BSN plus a masters degree in nursing. To get to know me a little better I am a Certified Nurse Assistant and been working throughout the pandemic. I worked in various types of settings such as Nursing homes, rehab centers, acute care, and long term assisted living facilities. Currently i have been working full time in the Emergency Department of St Judes hospital. My past expirience has motivated me to persue a nursing degree and further my education. I would like if you talked about me working in the Emergency because that is where I get a lot of my patient expirience from. I do EKG’s, record vitals, collect specimens, and assisnt RN’s in whatever they need. I help organize and control patients who are checking in and find them beds as soon as possible. I work in emergency codes such as Code Blue, Code stroke, and Code stemis. Overall, I have an extrmeley hands on expirience with patient care which always satisfies me when I clock out due to the patient lives I have made better. Im selecting UIC because of what it offers. (Tip: google what UIC nursing program offers and brag about them. This will help you in writing this essay). They basically want you to “brag” about them and what their school offers and why they should accept you. This will make a good essay.
