The goal of recruitment is to generate a pool of qualified candidates. More specifically, recruitment refers to the range of processes an organization uses to attract qualified individuals. When considering recruitment strategies, there are some initial questions that should be explored:
Should we recruit internally or externally?
Should we consider alternative approaches to filling jobs (i.e. contract staff)?
Should we look for fully qualified candidates, or look for the best fit who we would have to devote time, money, and energy to developing?
Beyond these three questions, what else would you consider before initiating recruitment?
