Title: Human Resource Management in charitable organizations — A case study of Chunhui Children’s foundation.

Background: In recent years, China’s non-profit sector has been growing, and charitable organizations have become increasingly important. According to the 2010 Research Report on the Development Status and Demand of China’s Philanthropy Talents, the salaries of employees engaged in philanthropy are generally low, even lower than the local average. At the same time, due to institutional reasons, many employees cannot see the room for promotion and are seriously lack of work enthusiasm. Faced with this situation, human resource management should play an important role and it is essential to manage employees in a proper way in order to achieve organizational goals.
Purpose: The purpose of our research is to understand how to use HRM to manage managers and employees in charitable organizations, and to explore the role of the human resource department between them. We believe that the rapid development and widespread recognition of Chunhui Children’s Fund as a private non-profit organization in China is worth studying as a case. Our expectation is to provide some reference value for other related charitable organizations through the study of relevant phenomena.
Methods: This study took Chunhui Children’s Fund as a case for qualitative research, and eight interviews were conducted. Two managers, two human resource workers and four employees were interviewed respectively. (I can do it by myself, you can do another methods)
Completion and results: two groups in some areas of HRM (HR planning, performance, training and development, career management)
