“Identify and describe a leader who bought about radical change either during the Cold War (1945-1991) era of the 20th Century, or prior to but impacting Cold War events.” (Note: This leader does not have to be political, nor well-known) … it is expected that students will write persuasively, giving background, details on the transformative actions taken, and a position to argue, acknowledging counter-arguments, and using various aspects of leadership theory to validate their claim of this leader being noteworthy. Students must use in-text citations and have at least 10 internet sources in the references section of the paper. Note: You should know what a “Transformational Leader” is after reading having read Northouse, Chapter 9, p. 185-215 (digital copy of text provided) over Spring Break, and the week before. Also, “transformative” has a strike through on purpose, because the analysis needs to go deeper than assuming all transformation has or all transformational leaders have been good.
