** FYI: My Major is Health Informatics. I am currently doing my internship at a hospital name “Trinity Health. Please keep the topic on EHR systems focusing on Health Informatics. Systems used is CPSI and CMR. Each department that have an issue with their systems have to reach out to IT dept. **

Additonal Information:

The Compliance Officer makes sure that everything that is being done in each department is ethical and run according to CMS and DHS guidelines. HIM dept. makes sure that all CPT, ICD and modifiers are put in correctly and medical records are attached to the correct file to ensure the insurance company is receiving what is needed to authorization approval. The Business Office Manager monitors the activity of admits and registration of patients to ensure the flow is going according to the company policy.

They all have helped me with my project by allowing me to schedule 1:1 meetings with them and shadowing to learn the process they do and explaining how what they all do end up speaking to the root of it all, which, is IT/Health Informatics. IT/Health Informatics ensures that all departments’ systems are running smoothly in order for them to be able to maneuver around in CPSI and CMR systems to meet all deadlines. IT also does the configuration for any issues that all departments run across and gather what is needed in the patients’ chart.

For this assignment, you will create a communication plan for your professional project.

Effective communication ensures that stakeholders are aware of the project plan. A communication plan includes a defined process for delivering information, including what information should be disseminated, what channels will be used to deliver the information, and to which stakeholders.

Part I:

Develop a project communication plan that details how your project will be communicated to the stakeholders (internal and external). Develop a draft communication document.

Include the following:

1. Identify and describe the stakeholders who need to be included in the communication plan. Explain their role, why their involvement is important, and what information needs to be communicated to each stakeholder or stakeholder group.
2. Evaluate what tools or channels are available and how these will be used to communicate information to the different stakeholders.

4. Propose who is responsible for delivering the communication and who is responsible for ensuring the information is received and comprehended.
