PRESENTATION
Throughout the course, you have analyzed, interpreted, and reflected upon the readings, films/videos, and discussions as they apply to healthcare administration. Based upon the subject matter selected by you, write a 18 page paper, excluding the title page, abstract, appendices, and references utilizing the APA 7th Edition Guidelines. A minimum of ten references that have been published within the last five (5) years is required. All references must
come from peer-reviewed journals, edited texts, or textbooks. Websites are not included in
the required references. The utilization of Grammarly may be beneficial in the writing of your paper. Grammarly is an online grammar checking, spell checking, and plagiarism detection platform. For more information, please visit https://www.grammarly.com/
Your papers should:
• Include a summary introduction and historical overview describing what is at stake and your position on the issue.
• Identify and discuss the ethical principles, theories, virtues, and/or values. Include arguments or contextual information from reading readings.
• Weigh the (ethical) strengths and weaknesses of the available courses of action.
• Argue for a course of action and defend that argument against at least one serious objection.
Within the paper, please address the following questions.
1) What is the ethical issue/problem?
2) What are the ramifications of this ethical issue in the United States? Are there any global implications?
3) Are there any additional legal issues present?
4) What facts have the most bearing on your ethical decision about the issue/problem?
5) Are there any other external or internal factors to be considered?
6) How does this issue affect public health? What are the implications for public health professionals?
7) Evaluate the options by addressing the following questions.
a. Which option produces the best consequences?
b. Which option respects the duties, virtues, rights or obligations of those involved?
c. Which option treats people equally or proportionately?
Your presentation must have a minimum of 25 slides (this does not include your title slide, reference slides, or
any pure image slide). Bring a printed copy of your presentation and on a flash drive. Please note the following:
• The title slide should include your names, date, title, course name, and Chicago State University.
• The slides should be neat, typed, and well organized.
• Do not use all caps!!!
• Crowded slides are difficult to read. Some experts suggest using the 5/5/5 rule: no more than five words
per line of text, five lines of text per slide, or five text-heavy slides in a row.
• Limit each slide to one main idea.
• Cite your sources utilizing APA 7
th Edition Guidelines.
• Make sure there is a clear color contrast between the background and the type.
• Avoid using distracting features like moving objects, sounds or animations.
• Do not read your slides verbatim. Deliver your comments in a more conversational presentation style.
• Create a separate set of notes for your presentation. PowerPoint allows you to download a copy of slides
with the ability to write in comments.
• Please review and practice your presentation before presenting.
• Any font type is fine, but whatever you use, be consistent and stick to one font type.
