COVID-19 &
CLIMATE CHANGE : PROGNOSIS FOR A GREEN ECONOMY?
Students will be assigned
a CARICOM territory, whereby EACH will be required to examine data and various documents, the country papers
etc re the- environment, climate change, policies and strategies undertaken, or being proposed by the Governments of the specific
territory. From the aforementioned examination individual students
are to prepare
a Research Paper that addresses
the following questions concerning
their designated island
or economy
A. Identify, review and analyse the climate change and environment conditions existing, initiatives undertaken or proposed by the Governments and public policy efforts made towards furthering a green economy for the Caribbean Economy you are assigned
B. Determine how and in what way(s) has the COVID- 19 Pandemic influenced or impacted the Government’s policy efforts and commitments with respect to treating with climate change, environmental initiatives and the Green Economy?
C. What are the implications for greening the island’s economy and overall development going forward ?
