Description:
For this assignment, you will compare Gentileschi’s and Fragonard’s artworks
formally (elements and principles) and with regards to subject matter (describing
the artwork and what it contains, what it’s about, what is pictured/presented.) What
is similar and what is different?
Identify stylistic characteristics for each artist and the period.
Consider the political, social, and cultural influences of the period and how it
informed their artwork. Think, what are characteristics of Baroque artworks, and
where are they present in the work…. also, what are the characteristics of Rococo
artworks, and where are they present in the work.
