Theory of Choice Infographic – from the book by Gerald Corey called Theory and practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy

The goal of this assignment is to allow you to identify your position on a particular theory and develop your
understanding of that theory at a deeper level while demonstrating psychology literacy (Goal 1, Goal 2, Goal 3,
Goal 4, and Goal 5 of the Department Goals). Identify the counseling theory of your choice that coincides with
your beliefs and values and create an infographic detailing and summarizing the main points of this theory. An
infographic is similar to a poster board project, except that it is more technologically advanced and viewed only
on the computer. You will receive an example, instruction, and practice on making an infographic prior to this
assignment being due. Include the following criteria in the creation of your infographic:
1. Clearly state your theory of choice.
2. Cover at least five main points from chapter headings in your book. The five main points focus on summarizing five of the main headings or focus on one main heading and
five main points for that heading.
3. Be creative with the infographic in terms of layout, formatting, color, themes,
images, written content, etc. The idea with most infographics is to share information about a topic with
images, colors, etc. and without using too many words (similar to a poster board project). I will be
looking for infographics that are creative, but clean and easy to read/follow.
4. Include at least three peer-reviewed research articles from PsychInfo or PsychArticles. Cite your
sources on the infographic.
