• How would your new company be established (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, etc.)? Expand upon and describe in detail your choice and why.
 Specify the Four P’s of Marketing for your product or service (product, placement/distribution, promotion, and price).
 The current state of the business in terms of SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats)
• The current state of the overall industry and growth projections
• Who is your competition?
• Primary sources of sales/revenues of current business and dependencies
 What talents or skills do you have that you could use to operate the business? • Define your customer profile.
 Advertise your business, for example create and be specific by providing,
Advertisements, Social Media, Website, Flyers, Newsletters, etc. within your
research project
 What are any new and unexplored market opportunities?
• The long-term view, especially with regards to the initiatives being proposed
• The cost areas and the possible options for cost-savings
Chapters 11 – 13 from the current textbook contain useful information for this project, but are not required. Use of material from throughout the course will be viewed most favorably.
The research project must be typed, double spaced, font size 12 with one-inch margins. This assignment must be at least 5 (five) pages of original text. Note: Photographs, charts, etc. do not count as text. This Research Project is worth 20% of your final grade in this BUS 110 course. Refer to the course syllabus for additional and required details (see below).
Please submit this assignment to McGraw Hill Connect via the link in Blackboard no later than the start of class on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. No extensions will be given.
***Note: Wednesday, April 12, 2023 is a firm deadline, and the research project must be submitted in WORD or PDF format only. I am not able to open any other format.
FROM THE SYLLABUS – INSTRUCTIONS AND SUBMISSION OF FINAL RESEARCH PROJECT:
 The project must utilize one-inch margins, be double spaced with 12-point font.
 You must have a Cover Page with your name, date, course name, section number and the subject
matter of the project.
 You must include a Table of Contents listing the format of your project. The table of contents should be placed directly behind the cover page. The table of contents page should include the subject information and actual page numbers where information may be found. Remember to number all pages on the bottom right-hand corner after the table of contents. Page numbering begins with the first page following the Table of Contents.
 You must have a citations page. The citations page should be the last page of the project.
 Attach a legible and clear scan or electronic version of any article to which you refer to in your
project.
 Spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization are major components for performing well in the course. Please pay special attention to satisfying these needs.
 If you fail to submit your written project on or before the due date, you will receive a grade of “F” for this project – no exceptions – no excuses. YOUR PROJECT must be submitted to the professor via McGraw Hill Connect in Word or PDF format only – no later than the start of class on the due date.
 Failure to follow the preceding directions will result in a corresponding loss of credit. Please make sure you have covered the topic well and addressed the questions in its entirety. Remember, it is quality that needs to be submitted to your professor.
 DO NOT PLAGIARIZE! Anyone who engages in plagiarism will earn a grade of a 0 for the project and possibly a grade of an “F” for the course depending upon the extent of the plagiarism. This professor may randomly use the Turnitin.com program to determine the extent of the plagiarism involved.
 Once again, failure to follow the preceding directions will result in a corresponding loss of credit for said failure. Please make sure that your final Research Project has a minimum of five (5) full pages of original, written content, excluding the cover page, table of contents, citations page and copies of any articles!
