THIS IS A 2 PART ASSIGNEMNT

PART 1:
– LOOK FOR AN OBJECT: The goal is to tell the story of immigration/migration through an object. This object must be linked to a story of immigration from a family member, friend, coworker, or neighbour or anyone willing to participate in your project.
– LEARN ABOUT THE OBJECT: Who does the object belong to? What’s the story behind the object? Any sentimental value? You should interview the owner of the object to learn about its significance and how it is link to their immigration/migration story.
– Your story must include at least ONE IMAGE, and must include a narrative of the story, a max of 1500 words. FOLLOW THE PROMPT. (use 1 page)
PART 2:
– Using the information you collected from the “Your Story, Our Story” post (above) Write a 3-4 page research paper.
– Your research paper must discuss the historical aspect of the person’s immigration/migration story to the US. For example: If the object belong to a person who came to the US as a refugee, you need to research the events that pushed the person out of their birth country and into the US.
– Your paper must explain the reasons for immigration/migration. “You must integrate a discussion of push and/or pull factors into your story.
– Your Paper must include a citation page; double space; 12 size font. See Rubric for general research paper guidelines. Use Chicago Style for citations.
