As mentioned in the micro-lectures, trading networks have existed throughout history. What were the main types of trading routes and the major trading routes of the ancient and medieval worlds? What powers controlled those trading routes and what effect would this have on the 15th Century?

The 18th Century was home to two major events: Industrious Revolutions (of which the Industrial Revolution in Britain was one) and political revolutions or struggles for independence (American, French, Haitian, and Latin America). What were the commonalities between the events? What made each unique? When posting it is probably, best to compare the revolutionary events in economics/trade and politics as separate categories.
What was the importance of Prince Henry in bringing about the Voyages of Discovery in the late 15th/early 16th Centuries?
