MBA students – Read the case, Verizon Communications, Inc: Implementing a Human Resources Balanced Scorecard. Analyze the case with a focus on the following parts:
Situation Identification: What are the key issues/problems in this case? What are the underlying issues (these underlying issues are the HR principles that apply to this situation).
Key Facts/Supporting Information: Discuss the facts that affect the problems and issues. The case may have too much information. In your discussion, you should filter the information and list those facts that are pertinent to the issues identified above.
Recommendation(s): Discuss your tentative solution to the problem and how you would implement your solution (think of yourself as an HR consultant hired by the company in the case). What actions would you propose to correct the situation? Support your analysis and recommendations by citing references from the text and from other sources (such as other texts, college-level business publications, your own research, etc.).
