For this assignment you will be required to write a detailed and informative investigative report that addresses one or two components of your issue, OR your issue as a whole as currently portrayed in the news/media. You must incorporate a minimum of three relevant, current, and reputable news sources. No outdated, biased, or fake news is allowed in this assignment.

It must contain the four elements discussed in the video discussion that has been provided in Brightspace: new information, objectivity, reliability, and a claims + data organizational structure. “New” in this case means using articles and news stories from the past two to three years (2019-2022). The borrowed information you incorporate via paraphrase, summary, or direct quote must be unbiased. The source must be from a reputable news source. Lastly, your claims should be supported by data throughout the paper.

This paper should be written entirely in third-person (no use of I, my, we, our, you, your, etc.). Your personal opinions should not be present. No solutions should be mentioned.

Your final draft must be a minimum of one and a half pages (maximum of two). This does not include the MLA works cited page.

Requirements:
1½-2 pages, typed, double spaced, proper header, page numbers, Times New Roman, 12pt. Follow the formatting guidelines that have been provided in the Week One folder.

A minimum of three reputable, relevant, and current news sources must be incorporated. .
Failure to meet all of the minimum requirements of this assignment (length, # of sources, etc.) will result in an automatic failing grade.
