1. arguing that a field needs more recognition (or more pay) (this will not work as a topic)
2. arguing that a field is more busy/difficult/interesting than most people know (this will not work as a topic)
3. arguing that a field is perfect for you (this will not work as a topic)
4. arguing that a field is one more people should consider (this will not work as a topic).
5. arguing what a person in this field does all day that most people don’t know about.
Instead, try to choose a workable argument that is debatable and that can be researched. If you’ve been searching in Beacon for sources, you might’ve been able to find what people in the career field are writing about. You might have also found potential topic ideas from the websites you’ve visited that are related to your career.

In 5 or more sentences, explain who’s involved in this issue. In other words, who are the affected parties in this topic? What are their concerns regarding this topic? Consider how these concerns might need to be addressed in Paper 3.

In 5 or more sentences, explain where this issue is occurring and/or how you plan to focus this topic in your paper. In other words, is this issue local? State-wide? National? Global? How are you planning to focus this issue regarding where it’s happening?
4.
In 5 or more sentences, explain the timing of this issue. Is this issue currently occurring? Is it an issue that persists over time? Is it going to happen in the future? Has it already happened? “When” is this issue located in time?
